ADLS SUNSHINE School celebrated its Annual Achievers Ceremony 2014-2015 at the Michael John Auditorium on 20th August 2015, (Thursday).  To grace the occasion Mr.Chandan Jha, Superintendent Of Police,(City), Jamshedpur was invited as the chief guest.

The highlight of the evening was the theme— Magic of Light.

The distinguished Guests and Dignitaries were welcomed by the Principal, Mrs. Indrani Singh. She also delivered a motivational speech to encourage the achievers.
The lighting of the ceremonial lamp was done by the Chief Guest, Mr. Chandan Jha, President, Mr.Y.Ishwar Rao, Chairman schools, Mr. N.V.R. Murty, General Secretary, Mr.V.Shankar Rao, Secretary(ADLS Sunshine School), Mr. M.Ravi Kumar, Secretary(Hindi Schools), Mr. P.L.S. Rao  and the Principal Mrs. Indrani Singh. A prayer song by the school choir was sung to seek the blessings of the ALMIGHTY. The school dance teacher Miss.Madhumita presented a beautiful classical dance along with the students.

A beautiful Medley was presented by the students of the school. The Hony. Secretary of the school Mr. M. Ravi Kumar, delivered the Annual Progress report of the school.

The Chief Guest shared inspirational words with the gatherings.

The students from Std. 10 and Std. 12, were felicitated for scoring highest in various subjects in the respective board exams.

Awards were also given to the students who performed brilliantly in NON-ACADEMICS. The awards and the winners were:

  • All rounder-  Anukriti Aray
  • Best attendance  – Nikita Kumari
  • Best speaker – Namra Iqbal
  • Most responsible  student- Yash Juneja
  • Most hardworking – Sourav Lenka,                    A.Jyotika,
  • Best sports person – Nayandep Biruly, Samiksha Khadka, Kunal Tripathy
  • Best  singer and drummer – Sushmita Das, Ashar Imam
  • Little champ of the school – Indrajeet Ray, Angad Singh
  • The best club- Safe Club
  • The best house-Ashoka House
  • The best club for commitment to excellence – Environment Club

Two special awards for the children who have improved in English Literature were also given. At middle school level the “William Wordsworth Trophy” and at high school level the “William Shakespeare Trophy” was awarded.

To motivate students free ship in Tuition fees is awarded to the students who perform exceedingly well in the area of sports at the National level and also in Academics. Seven students received this award for performing exceedingly well in academics and six students were awarded for showing their sportsmanship qualities.

The top three rankers of Nursery to Std. 11 in the academic session 2014-2015, were also felicitated with a memento and a certificate.

To highlight the theme of the evening – Magic of Light, choral recitation – “600 years Ago…….” was presented.  Being the International Year of Light, the theme was well appreciated by all.

Finally the program ended successfully with the National Anthem.
