The history department of ADLS Sunshine School celebrated “Indian Constitution Day” on 26th November, 2015 in the school auditorium. It is celebrated on this day to mark the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. B.R Ambedkar.
On this day in 1949, the constitution was adopted and enacted by the constituent assembly. The constitution came into force on 26th Jan, 1950 when Dr. Rajendra Prasad became the 1st President of India. Dr. B.R Ambedkar was the chairman of the drafting committee and the one to draft our constitution. Hence he is the father of Indian constitution. This day is being observed to mark the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. B.R Ambedkar.
The program began with: –
1) Lightning of lamp by the school principal Mrs. Indrani Singh.
2) A PowerPoint presentation was shown to the children.
3) On the spot questions were asked after the presentation.
The school principal, coordinators and teachers were present on the occasion.
