Today at ADLS Sunshine School, the heritage club celebrated the heritage day.
This day is observed every year on 18th April. It is celebrated to raise the
awareness about the diversity of cultural heritage, monuments, sites, the efforts
required to protect and conserve it and to the attention towards its vulnerability.
The mock parliament and the quiz were the main attractions of the day. The topic
of discussion in the parliament was “Heritage sites should be protected”. The
ruling and opposition party arguments showed the students depth of interest
towards an cultural heritage. The students, dressed as Mahatma Gandhi, Rani
Lakshmi Bai, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and Nawab Salimullah shared their
experiences. The students actively took part in the Quiz. The rounds on
Jamshedpur were very appealing. The Day ended with a pledge by the students
to protect our heritage sites.
